In the heart of El Born  there is a unique restaurant called Petra. The food is delicious, the prices are really convenient and the amosphere is unique.
We went with some friends last Saturday. 

It was 8:30 pm and there wasn't anybody there. We went into the local and we asked for a free table. 'All reserved'- said the nice nice owner.  'We were waiting for the miracle'- I answered. We all laughed sadly and left Petra. We ended eating in Tasca i vins... Ok, but imcomparable.

I knew that all the tables were booked. It's really difficult to find a place there if you don't make a reservation. so don't try, because you will be left disappointed. 

Anyway, we had time enough to take  a look inside: glass and lead panelling, cute lights, walls covered with small, coloured tiles,  old, wooden chairs,  mirrors, antique furniture and modernist style elements.

The firts time I had dinner there I liked the unpretensious food, but served delicatelly, really tasty, and with a touch of creativity; the funny, decorative elements and the extraordinary service.

Sam and Joan, the owners of Petra, are doing an extraordinary job there without charging the customer  with an exorbitant amount. 
You can have a salad for 5 €, or a main course for 7-8 €.

I reccomend you to try different dishes and don't forget about the desserts.

Eli Besicht Palo Alto Market 7th and 8th of February

Palo Alto Market opens its doors again to show us a sophisticated and popular street market, but developed in a really creative and innovative way.

Eli Besicht Mayura restaurant

Mayura bedeutet Begeisterung auf HINDI-Sprache, die Begeisterung des Besitzerines um ein authentisches indisches Restaurant zu führen.

Gestern habe ich im Mayura gegessen.  Die inneneinrichtung aus Holz ist perfekt und auch das Musik. Mayura und Rajnish haben eine ruhige und harmonische Atmosphäre erhalten.
Wann wir im London waren, haben wir Indian Essen probiert...und es ist klar, es gibt  Diferenze. Mayura lohnt sich aber! Das Menu war 13 Euro, am Samstag, sehr billig, aber wenn du indisch Küche gern isst, diese sind unsere Anregungen!:
Tikka champignons, Pakora, Rogan Josh, Huhn Korma  und Sabudana.

Eli besicht La Llibertària

We were having a walk on a cold day of December when my partner pointed to the sign of a little pub. 'La Llibertària'- I read.

 'It's quite a good place'- He said- 'the beer is awesome!'. So we decided to have a drink and take shelter from the chilly weather. 

La Llibertària is placed in the emblematic Tallers Street. Its nostalgic atmosphere reminds you of the Barcelona from the 20s or 30s. 

That day, it was noisy and full of people, and I realised that the walls were covered with old pictures and newspaper clippings. I read some of them and I thought that I was in a museum. We decided to stand up at the bar and have a look at the fresh-made tapas. I'm not a Neat Freak, but I was pleased with the aspect of the bar, the clean, neat way they had placed the trays, the gin & tonic and other liquor bottles, everything treated and showed with care.

We tried the Premium La Libertària Beer, and had some empanadas, but their specialties include: bombas llibertàrias, ham croquettes, potato omelette, suckling pig and cod salad. 

We'll come back again at night, when the bar transforms into a great cocktail pub.

Eli besicht Ménage à Trois, ein Pop Restaurant in Barcelona

Die Letzte woche, habe ich ein Bier in Ménage à trois getrunken. Es war kalt und windig, und hatte ich uns für einen Spaziergang in Barcelona entschieden. 'Eine schlechte Idee'- dachte ich.  Aber ich   verbrachte den Tag zu neue Bars kennenzulernen.Mènage à trois ist ein gemütliches Restaurant in ciutat Vella, Barcelona. Wenn Ihr geht da, geht zuerst in das Esszimmer und blickt auf die Wande. Sie werden mit Playmobil Figuren gemalt. Die Pop Wandmalerei sind lustig und auch Kunstwerke, weil das Restaurant leiht sie für urbane Kunst aus.

Ich habe in die Stüle und tischtücher bewundert: Ich dachte dass der Restaurantbesitzer hatte sie in ein Sttrassenmarkt bekommen:  verschiedene Holzstühlen, verschiedene Gummitischdecke...fröhlich und farbenfroh, die den bildern an den Wande entsprechen.

Ich warf einen Blick in die Speisekarte und Ich lesen sie mit einem Lächeln. Ich kann nicht  alles übersetzen, es ist sehr schwierig für mich!, aber jedes Tisch hat einen Originalen Name. Zum Beispiel: die Desserts heissen Designerunerwäsche, und du musst Die Tapas auf einer Flasche lesen.
Das Essen ist keine Überraschung aber gut: Carpaccio und Salaten, Crepes, Burgers,  Wok...

Eli besicht Bun Bo restaurant

I was walking down Els Àngels Street when we saw some lights coming from inside a restaurant.
Here you are a photo!
I loved the colours and the atmosphere: It was full and quite noisy and busy.
I assume that some of you might say that it has quite a ...let's say Willy Wonka, childish style, and you're right. ;) It's not the most elegant place, but considering that it was a chilly, grey day, I saw the colourful lamps and wallpaper as a spring break!
It is a Vietnamese restaurant placed in the middle of El Raval area in Barcelona called  Bun Bo Raval. The place is beautiful and cozy and the food is really tasty, and quite cheap!. Well, this is what some of our friends have told us, because we haven't been there yet. I'll give it a try next week and I'll tell you about the experience.

Eli besicht das Disseny Hub Barcelona

Das Disseny HUB Museum  hatte vor einige Tagen seine Türen geöffnet, aber wir wussten es nicht! Wir fanden in Internet eine unnötige Ausstellung, die war glänzend. Du konntest Architektur und Design preise sehen... Hier gibt es einige dieser Artwork. Die Lampe werden mit Flashchen gemacht. Ich will für meine  Wöhnzimmer eine wählen!!
